The fresh french bread used for my sandwich was the best ever! Wow good.
I just had turkey sandwich and it was a 10.
Makes a great lunch stop and tables outside to sit and enjoy lunch and soak in the sun.

Trust me —- you can’t go wrong in this shop!
I live in Upper Peninsula Michigan now, but still crave the bread, soups, sandwiches and treats. When I come back to visit, this is a place I make sure I make time to stop in to!
PS: I’m not really a fan of tomato soup… but THIS tomato soup is absolutely delicious! And it will re-set the bar (a LOT higher) to judge all other tomato soups against!
When you get bread to go, either plan to eat it right away or freeze it, because they don’t put chemicals and stuff in it to extend the shelf life. It’s bread, and nothing else. Life the way it should be ??

Great Cranberry Chicken Salad sandwich! You can get half or a whole sandwich. Comes with chips too. It was the perfect amount to split & not be too full while we shop.
The bread was fresh, soft, & tasted wonderful. Everyone was extremely polite & helpful. Overall a great place to grab a bite. We’ll be back.

.. do keep in mind that there is very little parking for this place. But there is plenty of parking all around it.

Great local bread shop. I was excited to find it. We used to have one by us, and it closed many years ago. There’s nothing like fresh made bread and scones, etc.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on are way through Sturgeon bay. Fantastic Sandwiches and bakery to die for.
Had a chance to chat with the owner.
Great food and nice staff.

Popped in very late in the day on a Friday, having read about the place on line. Took home a loaf of semolina bread..DELICIOUS. Woman who recommended it suggested it was like Crack. She wasn’t wrong.

Sure enough, next morning we were back, she greeted us with a good laugh and we walked out with scones, a cherry bread, chocolate chip cookie and small cherry crisp. All exceptional.

If I lived in door county this place would be my undoing. Besides the great baked goods, the folks who work here/run the place are the nicest..
